The Team

Robert Dehn

SVP, Post Production

Robert Dehn is a respected post-production executive known for helping oversee projects that have generated more than $4.5 billion in worldwide box office revenue throughout his nearly two-decade career in the film and television industry.

His journey in sound began in Rochester, New York, where he studied music theory and performance under the mentorship of Rob Goodling, now of the Hochstein School of Music. He later earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business from Full Sail University before relocating to Los Angeles to begin his professional career.

Within nine months, Dehn was promoted to Studio Manager at Sonic Magic Studios, a 10,000-square-foot post-production facility in Culver City, California, following the success of the feature film The Informers, his first project in the role. Under his leadership, the studio rapidly expanded operations, completing 76 feature films in a single year... a milestone that significantly surpassed every post studio’s previous output. Sonic Magic Studios later merged operations with the 48,000-square-foot Wildfire Studios in Beverly Hills, where Dehn continued to lead facility operations until the studio’s sale and closure in 2018.

Throughout his career, Dehn has contributed to a wide range of acclaimed film and television projects, including Moonlight, Get Out, Hell or High Water, Vital Signs, Better Things, and Scream TV. Across the projects and teams he has worked alongside, the work has received multiple Academy Award nominations, an Academy Award win, Emmy Awards, and a Golden Reel Award. To date, Dehn has accumulated more than 550 IMDb credits spanning feature films, episodic television, documentaries, animation, and immersive audio productions.

Today, Dehn serves as SVP of Post Production & Animation at Studio Central Post in Syracuse, New York, where he has helped build one of the region’s most ambitious post-production campuses. The 30,000-square-foot facility supports editorial, color, VFX, animation, ADR, Foley, Dolby Atmos mixing, and immersive finishing workflows for productions across film, television, streaming, music, and branded entertainment.

Under Dehn’s leadership, Studio Central Post has partnered with American High to help keep post-production work within Onondaga County while expanding Central New York’s growing entertainment ecosystem. The studio has contributed to major projects including Rolling Loud and Orion, provided ADR and finishing services for studios and platforms including Disney, Hulu, Audible, and independent theatrical productions, and earned recognition as a Netflix Preferred Vendor facility. Today, Studio Central Post supports dozens of productions annually while continuing to expand into animation, immersive sound, and next-generation post-production technologies.

Monte Young

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Monte Young is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Studio Central Post, bringing more than two decades of experience across film production, post-production, animation, and entertainment business development. Over the course of his career, he has produced feature films including Hitters, Gasp, and The Wave, while helping guide projects from initial concept and script development through final delivery.

Known for his hands-on leadership style and deep understanding of the creative process, Young has become recognized for building collaborative environments that bridge filmmaking, technology, animation, and immersive storytelling. His experience spans every stage of production, allowing him to oversee projects with a unique balance of creative vision and operational strategy.

In 2020, Young founded Five Peaks Animation, expanding his focus into children’s educational programming and animated storytelling. He is currently writing, directing, producing, and overseeing development on multiple animated series, including EmergenSea, Bookends, and Inspector Specs. Through Five Peaks Animation and Studio Central’s growing creative ecosystem, Young continues to invest heavily in emerging animation technologies, streamlined production workflows, and artist training initiatives designed to help cultivate the next generation of animators, storytellers, and creators.

Young also founded Studio Central Next, the company’s AI and emerging technology division focused on accelerating animation and content production workflows. Designed to place intelligent predictability directly into the hands of artists and creatives, Studio Central Next develops proprietary tools and production methodologies aimed at reducing animation timelines by months... not days... while preserving creative intent and artistic control. The initiative represents Young’s broader vision of combining human creativity with advanced technology to fundamentally reshape the future of animation and post-production.

Beyond production, Young has become an active advocate for the continued growth of New York’s film and television industry. Working alongside regional leaders, production partners, and state organizations, he has been involved in ongoing efforts to help protect, strengthen, and modernize New York State’s film tax incentive programs while expanding opportunities for upstate production and post-production infrastructure.

Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Young worked as an attorney specializing in finance, a background that continues to inform his strategic approach to business development, partnerships, and long-term studio growth. Today, he remains focused on expanding Studio Central into a next-generation creative campus supporting film, television, animation, immersive sound, and emerging media production throughout Central New York and beyond.
